Living and working in Frankfurt – few German cities have more to offer: salaries are above the national average and the unemployment rate noticeably below it. In our Hessian financial capital you will find impressive skyscrapers as well as dreamlike landscapes, lively bustle as well as restorative tranquillity; equal commitment is shown for children, seniors and people with disabilities – Frankfurt meets all demands.
But: unfortunately the metropolis on the Main is at the same time Germany’s crime stronghold. In 2014 the number of recorded offences rose by 6 per cent to 118,769 cases. The frequency rate (offences per 100,000 inhabitants) for Frankfurt was 16,938 – for comparison: Munich’s HZ is around 7,800 with roughly 1.4 million inhabitants! Although Munich is more than twice as large, almost the same number of offences were committed in both cities in 2014. And: 29.9 per cent of all offences recorded in the state of Hesse occur in Frankfurt, even though only about 8.6 per cent of Hesse’s population live in the metropolis on the Main. This also means that the investigators of Kurtz Investigations Frankfurtare permanently deployed – whether for private individuals, businesses or for banks and authorities, gladly also for you: +49 69 1201 8431.
Striking, but logical compared with other large cities, is the concentration of financial fraud offences in Frankfurt related to finance, banks, investments, real estate and so on. Particularly considerable are the increases in offence numbers from 2013 to 2014 for the following crimes:
Even more worrying than the financial crimes is that murder increased by 700 per cent (!) – whereas only one murder was recorded in 2013, the number rose to eight in 2014! In addition there were 21 cases of manslaughter. By 13 August 2015 there had already been six deaths that fell victim to murder or manslaughter (in the course of committing an offence). Victims of traffic accidents and drug-related deaths are not included here (by 21 August 2015 these amount to 15 deaths).
In 2014, 96.8 per cent of offences against life could be solved, in 2013 the figure was 97.7 per cent. The rapid increase in fatal offences while clearance rates remain constant or decline is evident. Yet it is especially important for relatives that cases of offences against life are fully solved. The investigators of Kurtz Detective Agency Frankfurt continue to investigate when the police give up. Because every life counts.
